The Site That Will Change the Way You Book Family Vacations

How do you travel and stay comfortably, and affordably, with a large family? Luxe hotels are great, but they are also expensive, and when you have a big family? Make that one $400 room/night, two rooms. And they might not even be large, or connecting. Yikes.

What if I told you there is luxury property rental site that is made exclusively for families? What if I told you that it offers home stays for families all over the world? What if I told you that the site is beautifully laid-out and provides the exact information that families are looking for?

Friends, meet Kid & Coe. Kid & Coe, meet friends. Listen up. Your life is about to change.

Kid-Friendly Vacation Rentals

What is Kid & Coe?

Kid & Coe was born out of one mom’s vision to find accommodations for her growing family that made them feel at home wherever they were in the world. She launched her initiative in 2013 with an aim to simplify family travel. And we all know how important it is to simplify when you are traveling with a circus, right?

As a result, Kid & Coe became a luxury family accommodation site that offers hand-picked properties around the world that suit families who love to travel. In addition, it offers insight from local parents about how to get the best out of their destination, including what sites to see, how to most conveniently move around, and insider tips on what’s close and worth doing with kids.

Kid & Coe offers over 1,000 child-friendly places to stay around the world, with properties from Cape Town to Tokyo. Some properties are luxury city apartments, others are country retreats and beach houses. Many have extra services and perks, from access to locals-only beaches to babysitting, concierge services, beauty treatments, wine tasting and private chefs. And most offer kid-friendly home set-ups with highchairs, cribs, bunk beds, toys, and books.

Sounds too good to be true, right? But it’s not.

Kid & Coe is revolutionizing how families travel. I can personally attest to this, as we have used Kid & Coe several times for booking and staying in properties worldwide. It has absolutely changed the way we book vacation rentals. When we decide on a destination, it is absolutely the very first site I search when it comes to accommodations. I know the brand, I trust the brand, the properties work for our family size and needs, and the site could not be easier to navigate.

family-friendly tuscany stay

In October of 2017, we traveled to Tuscany for a week. We wanted to be based centrally, so as to explore several towns throughout the region, as well as have a comfortable, inviting home base to relax when we needed down-time. We found the perfect three-bedroom, two-bath home, with a yard, in the Florentine Hills, less than an hour outside of Florence (for all those who are interested: Casa Alina). The three-story home offered a crib, high chair, toys, WiFi, puzzles, games, craft materials, ladder ball, patio furniture and a grill, and the option of in-villa cooking lessons and/or a 4-course meal delivered from farm to table. The location and view of the Tuscan hills were to die for, as was the little town of Oritimo, with its inviting bakery and countryside nature walks. And while prices vary per property on Kid & Coe’s site, this property cost us USD $160/night. We stayed in this perfect family-friendly property for just over $1,000 for our whole stay. Amazing.

family-friendly los angeles stay

Our second stay in a Kid & Coe home was in Echo Park, Los Angles, CA in the summer of 2018. We were visiting family in Los Angeles and wanted a home that was nearby and in a kid-friendly neighborhood. We booked this amazing little home with an outdoor play area with swing, jungle gym and teepee, art supplies, books, and toys. It was one block away from Elysian park, Los Angeles’ oldest and second-largest park. My kids have a distinct memory of picking giant lemons and huge pinecones off the trees in the backyard of the home. We squeezed the lemons and then set-up a lemonade stand in the neighborhood. Turns out that the right neighborhood in L.A. is a profitable place to have a lemonade stand!
